Call it a comeback?

ESPN.com’s J.A. Adande reports that former Indiana Pacers star and current television analyst, Reggie Miller has been contacted by the Celtics to return to the NBA in a limited role.

Both Miller and Celtics GM Danny Ainge have acknowledged exchanging conversation. And though Reggie enjoys his job as an analyst for TNT, the idea of coming back to finally win the championship that has eluded him for his 18-year career may be too strong to turn down.

“[I have] contacted Reggie and he is contemplating a comeback with us,” Ainge told The Associated Press through a team spokesman. Reggie has been asking family and friends for advice before he makes his final decision. His biggest concern is can he endure the grind of an 82-game season?

Hopefully we’ll find out if he can, the thought of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Miller sounds like a legitimate contender for an NBA title. Stay tuned.
