Manny Ramirez Might be Back Friday

According to the Boston Globe Manny Ramirez took batting practice Wednesday for the first time since straining his left oblique August 28th.

He could return for the weekend series against the Yankees. This year against the Yankees Manny is hitting .392. Ellsbury in Manny’s absence has been amazing. Ellsbury is batting .373 since being called up. The Red Sox have 15 games left and Manny has missed 15 games.

Opinion: The sooner the better for Manny to return. Manny has been a lot better in the second half hitting with a line of .309/.384/.549. Red Sox nation has to hope Manny’s time off hasn’t thrown off his bat.
