Welcome to the first installment of the Top 25 NFL Fantasy Stars! This feature will highlight the top fantasy performers for that particular week. This is NOT a list of who the “best” players in the NFL are, this is simply the 25 players who get the most fantasy points for that week.
Keep in mind this is just a guideline based on the Sports of Boston fantasy league which uses a custom point system. I don’t want any angry comments about me ruining your fantasy team, you probably should have drafted better anyway. Enjoy and good luck with your waiver wire!
| Rank | Name | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kenton Keith, Ind, RB | HUGE fill in job for Addai, but following the bye week don’t expect another performance like this |
| 2 | Philip Rivers, SD, QB | AFC Offensive Player of the Week? Just what the Bolts needed |
| 3 | Benjamin Watson, NE, TE | Can you believe this was his FIRST 100-yard game of his career? |
| 4 | Tom Brady, NE, QB | The Golden Boy continues to shine |
| 5 | Ronnie Brown, Mia, RB | 100+ yards for the third straight game |
| 6 | Michael Turner, SD, RB | 147 yards vs. a confused Broncos’ D |
| 7 | Jason Campbell, Was, QB | Going 23 of 29 passes for 248 yards and 2 TDs == best performance of the season |
| 8 | Najeh Davenport, Pit, RB | He’s getting the touches, but look elsewhere |
| 9 | Larry Fitzgerald, Ari, WR | With some forced stability at QB look for a surge |
| 10 | Plaxico Burress, NYG, WR | Solid all season but watch the ankle situation |
| 11 | Gus Frerotte, StL, QB | You must be desperate for a QB to consider Frernot |
| 12 | Antonio Gates, SD, TE | The TE-to-own is rivaling WRs Chad Johnson and Randy Moss for yards receiving |
| 13 | Maurice Jones-Drew, Jac, RB | Welcome to the 2007 season, Maurice |
| 14 | Torry Holt, StL, WR | He’s banged up and aging, but still remains one of the biggest threats in the NFL |
| 15 | Jason Witten, Dal, TE | Forget T.O., he’s why the ‘Boys are 5-0 |
| 16 | LaDainian Tomlinson, SD, RB | Still lookin for his mojo, don’t worry, he’ll find it soon |
| 17 | Mike Sellers, Was, RB | Good job from the veteran when the team needed him but don’t expect much more the rest of the way |
| 18 | Peyton Manning, Ind, QB | Not a place you would expect to find Mr. Cut that Meat but when your backup RB turns in a performance like he did, Peyton can lay low |
| 19 | Willis McGahee, Bal, RB | No pay dirt yet, but solid yardage |
| 20 | Brian Leonard, StL, RB | The first white RB in the NFL in what four years? Anyway, excellent Steven Jackson impression |
| 21 | Eli Manning, NYG, QB | Solid, but do you trust the G-Man? He’s not Peyton yet |
| 22 | DeShawn Wynn, GB, RB | Even in the worst rushing offense, he delivers. Beware the RB Committee |
| 23 | David Garrard, Jac, QB | Losing Leftwich was the right move. Plain and simple |
| 24 | Kurt Warner, Ari, QB | Just when you thought his career was on the way out, he’s a top 10 fantasy QB |
| 25 | Brian Griese, Chi, QB | See Gus Frerotte. |

I just need to point out that you tell people that THEY need to draft better when none of YOUR players are on that list.
haha I LOVE the ==. Good to see my boy Jason Campbell at No. 7. he had a huge week…
I guess I must be really desperate then if I’m considering Cleo Lemon…oh wait, my team is going nowhere.
i knew you and chris would appreciate the “==” haha
