Top 25 NFL Fantasy Stars: Week 6

Here’s my Week 6 edition of the cream of the crop for fantasy.

Before we get to that, two quick things:

1. Adrian Peterson. Top 10 Back next season. Book it.

2. Devin Hester. WHY DO TEAMS STILL KICK TO THE GREATEST RETURN MAN OF ALL TIME??

Ok, I’m off the soapbox now.

Keep in mind this is just a guideline based on the Sports of Boston fantasy league which uses a custom point system. I don’t want any angry comments about me ruining your fantasy team, you probably should have drafted better anyway. Enjoy and good luck with your waiver wire!

Rank Name Comment
1 Adrian Peterson, Min, RB What an incredible performance against a former unstoppable Bears’ D
2 LaDainian Tomlinson, SD, RB Told ya he’d get his mojo back, get used to seeing him on here every week
3 Tom Brady, NE, QB Just another day at the office, Romo who?
4 Maurice Jones-Drew, Jac, RB Solid job, but I want to see how he does against a formidable defense
5 Derek Anderson, Cle, QB Shouldn’t be here but the Browns’ offense are the surprise of the season so far.
6 T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Cin, WR I should be on the top 25 for spelling his name.
7 Cleo Lemon, Mia, QB The Lemons and Grieses of the league make me hate fantasy sometimes
8 Wes Welker, NE, WR Randy Moss getting double and triple covered == fantasy jackpot for Welker owners
9 Matt Hasselbeck, Sea, QB He’s a good QB but Seattle just doesn’t play like they want it
10 Steve Smith, Car, WR Vinny T was just what he needed?
11 Braylon Edwards, Cle, WR Always liked this guy, absolutely dangerous
12 Brian Griese, Chi, QB He sucks, yet is STILL better than Rex
13 Tony Gonzalez, KC, TE The reigning TE TD Champ
14 Jerious Norwood, Atl, RB Finally getting the carries he deserves, Dunn’s time is nearly at an end
15 Donté Stallworth, NE, WR MY BOY (whom I wasted a draft pick on) has finally come around getting his 2nd TD in as many games
16 David Garrard, Jac, QB Remains a fantasy stud
17 Ronnie Brown, Mia, RB Wish I took the chance on him, I do have concerns about the workload
18 Damon Huard, KC, QB Take a seat, Brody. Huard’s here to stay… or till he gets injured.
19 Larry Johnson, KC, RB The cantankerous workhorse is finally back on track with 119 yards and a TD on 31 carries in Sunday’s win over Cincinnati
20 Kevin Curtis, Phi, WR There’s potential here, I need more consistency though
21 DeAngelo Williams, Car, RB Still not the starter, still too inconsistent
22 Drew Brees, NO, QB My other boy! (Now you see how bad a shape my team must be in) Maybe Drew and the Saints have arrived this season (I hope) with their first win of the season at Seattle
23 Devin Hester, Chi, WR One easy way to keep Hester off the top 25…. DON’T KICK TO HIM. From the WR perspective, I’m still skeptical mostly because of his awful QB situation
24 Brian Westbrook, Phi, RB Consummate fantasy stud, just needs to stay healthy, his only downfall
25 Kevin Walter, Hou, WR One of the many WRs doing stand up fill-in jobs for ‘Dre Johnson

  1. That’s right. Cleo riding in at number 7. I hope mjd will stay consistent for the rest of the year. I don’t need Fred Taylor stealing his carries.
