Just reported by Buster Olney today at ESPN.com…
Curt Schilling and the Boston Red Sox have reached an agreement on a one-year deal worth about $8 million in base salary and another $2 million in potential incentives, ESPN The Magazine’s Buster Olney reports. The agreement is pending Schilling, 40, passing a physical exam.
Great news for a rainy day. Curt Schilling can have his last hurrah in a Boston uniform. Maybe enter the Hall of Fame in a Red Sox cap. And maybe he can help Boston win one more World Series.
Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz have to be happy such a good teacher will be around too. Schilling may not directly be the cause of them getting better, I’ve heard that before. But he can’t hurt.
G38 is back.
