Pedroia Wins Rookie of the Year

According to the Associated Press Boston’s own second baseman Dustin Pedroia has won the 2007 AL Rookie of the Year award. Apparently Pedroia finished well ahead of the Rays Delmon Young.

In the NL the Brewer’s Ryan Braun won Rookie of the Year by two votes over Colorado’s Troy Tulowitzki, in one of the closest votes ever.

Pedroia. The little guy who could.

Top of the list for potential 2008 RoY’s: Jacoby Ellsbury?

Only if he doesn’t get traded for fat 3rd baseman or Cy Young candidates.
