Redskins Safety Sean Taylor Dead at 24

Sean Taylor died early Tuesday, a day after being shot in the leg during an alleged home invasion.

Despite being a troubled player early in his NFL career, Taylor turned his life around after the birth of his first child in 2006. He died as the NFC’s leader with 5 interceptions this season.

Against the Patriots in the Skins 52-7 loss on 10/28, Taylor recorded 7 tackles (4 solo tackles).

Sports of Boston extends its condolences to Taylor’s family, friends, and teammates.

MIAMI (AP) — Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor has died, a day after he was shot in the leg, said family friend Richard Sharpstein.

He said Taylor’s father called him around 5:30 a.m. to tell him the news.
