Jon Lester, LHP for the Red Sox, is the recipient of the annual Tony Conigliaro Award. Its presented every year to a major league player who has overcome adversity through the attributes of spirit, determination and courage, trademarks of Tony C.

Jon Lester will be receiving the award November 28th at Fenway.

:: Congrats the Jon. I think he’s heard enough about how he had cancer. At least it seemed like it. I think he’ll feel better when no one treats him differently and he can be judged on an even playing field like his teammates.
