Some recent notes about the Celtics:

  • Celtics captain Paul Pierce won his second-straight Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors for games last week, in which the Celtics went 4-0. Pierce averaged 27.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 4 games, including a season-high 37 points against Seattle.
  • Lakers forward Lamar Odom was suspended 1 game and will sit out against the Sixers on Friday. He will be docked $120,441 in pay.
