Bruins Edge Devils; Extend their Winning Streak to 3

A strong first period, combined with a highlights-reel-save from Glen Metropolit (you read it right) helped the Bruins in their efforts to beat the Devils, last night, by the score of 4-3.

I must say that Kevin Weeks, the goaltender for the Devils, wasn’t very good, which helped the B’s to win this game. The effort was there, no doubt, but the team simply broke down in the third period where the Bruins allowed 20 shots on their net. Let’s conclude the whole thing by saying that the third period was pretty ugly… Anyhow, the Bruins posted a third consecutive win after being in a six-game losing streak. The team found answers to get out of that slump and that’s a very positive note for the fans. A very good test is coming ahead for the Bruins as they will face Carolina, Montreal and Toronto in their next three games.

Quick Notes: The Bruins traded F Brandon Bochenski in return of D Shane Hnidy and a sixth round pick. Matt Lashoff has been playing okay since his return in Boston as he is still learning the game at the big level. Matt Hunwick was sent down; probably because his game wasn’t very good in his last two outings…
