Bruins Humiliated 8-2

In a game where the two points were crucial, the Bruins decided to take a night off and were humiliated 8-2 in Montreal.

You knew that this one would be ugly when, only 14 seconds in, the Habs scored a goal on an awful line change. The rest of the contest can be summed up in one word: meltdown. Honestly, there are no excuses for the team’s poor showing since they are in a dogfight to reach a playoff spot. The Bruins are definitely better then last year, but they have the bad habit to lose games when they should win it. Yes, the lineup is depleted by injuries, but at least you have to show yourself at the game and that was definitely not the case last night. Some players need a wake up call and Shane Hnidy, for one, was awful with an -4 rating, for the night.

The Bruins need to rebound, Thursday, as they will face the Islanders and try to collect another important 2 points.
