Clemens: Andy Pettitte “Misremembered”

Roger Clemens testified that Andy Pettitte did not correctly recall a conversation they had in 1999-2000 about HGH use. Pettitte and his wife both testified that Clemens told Pettitte he used HGH and steroids. Pettitte later asked Clemens following Congressional hearings about steroids in baseball in 2005 what Clemens thought of his use.

Clemens then told Pettitte that he didn’t correctly remember their conversation, and that Pettitte was referring to Clemens’ wife taking HGH in 2003. Congressional leaders said that the time frame doesn’t make sense because the conversation between Clemens and Pettitte took place in 2000, while Debbie Clemens supposedly took HGH in 2003.
