Clemens On the Hot Seat

Clemens is being grilled by congress today on allegations of steroid and HGH use. Clemens has been shown evidence that he has given conflicting answers to many questions, including when Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) brought up that Clemens had given two different answers on why he didn’t speak to the Mitchell Report. Clemens said on “60 Minutes” that he was advised not to speak to Sen. Mitchell by his lawyers, but to Congress he has said – under oath – repeatedly that he didn’t know that Mitchell wanted to speak to him.

Clemens and his accuser Brian McNamee also have differed on what substances were injected into Clemens, as both have described different colors of the same substance. Confusing!
