Congressional Hearing Coverage

Roger Clemens at the Capitol

Congressional hearings are now over and Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee are done being questioned. Clemens and McNamee both were grilled on numerous discrepancies in their testimonies.

Andy Pettitte testified privately that he and Roger Clemens talked about steroid use in the past. Clemens claimed in the hearings that Pettitte must have “misremembered” their conversation, and that Clemens instead was talking about his wife’s HGH use all along.

Stories from McNamee and Clemens have differed dramatically about a party at Jose Canseco’s house in 1998. Most interviewed agreed that Clemens was not present, while McNamee maintains that Clemens was indeed at the party. It should be noted that McNamee’s credibility has come into question.
