Patriots Re-sign Jabar Gaffney

Jabar Gaffney

The Patriots gave Tom Brady another weapon to throw to again after agreeing on a one-year deal with free agent wideout Jabar Gaffney. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. It has been reported that Gaffney will make around 2 million dollars.

Last season for the Pats, Gaffney hauled in 36 receptions for 449 yards and a career-best 5 touchdowns. He became a favorite for Tom Brady as the season wore on and Donte Stallworth began to fall out of favor with the Pats.

With the signing, the Pats now have most of their offensive core players back and will need to concentrate on defense exclusively in this year’s NFL Draft.
