Randy Moss’ Restraining Order Dropped

A restraining order placed on Pats WR Randy Moss in Florida has been dropped. A woman had claimed domestic violence against Moss but just more than a month after filing for the order she asked the case be closed on March 3.

Rachelle Washington had claimed Moss hurt her and then denied her medical attention on January 6th. Moss had defended himself saying he never denied her medical attention, never harmed her intentionally and alluded that she had experienced money problems in the past.

Moss’ lawyer Richard Sharpstein said his client was pleased the ordeal was over.

“There has finally been acknowledgment that the injuries were not intentionally inflicted,” Sharpstein said.

My Take: It’s nice to see some good news on the off-the-field front for the Pats. From the beginning it didn’t seem as the charges had much merit and now Moss can concentrate on football and chasing that elusive Super Bowl victory.
