Mark Stuart Signs for Two Years

The Bruins signed defenseman Mark Stuart to a two-year extension. According to the Boston Globe, the deal will cost the Bruins $1.3 million against the cap each of the next two seasons. The deal is reportedly worth $1.1 million in the first year of the deal, and Stuart gets a $400,000 raise in year No. 2.

Stuart played in all 82 games for the Bruins, collecting four goals and eight points. He also played all seven games against Montreal in the playoffs.

Stuart was the Bruins’ first round selection in the 2003 draft.
