The only connection to Boston I can make is that Bill Lambeer and especially Rick Mahorn played significant roles in this very unique WNBA Brawl. As you may remember, Lambeer and Mahorn played with the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons of the late 1980′s and took part in a couple exciting playoff series against the Celtics.

Mahorn, known as a peacemaker after his role in the worst brawl in sports history between the Pacers and Pistons in Detroit in 2004, pushed Lisa Leslie to the ground in order to keep the peace. Woah…
