Celtics Sign Darius Miles

The Celtics have signed oft-injured forward Darius Miles. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

At 26, Miles is coming off a devastating knee injury and has not played in an NBA game since the 2005-06 season.

He was taken with the No. 3 pick in 2000 by the LA Clippers, but has not really lived up to his potential.

It’s also been reported that whenever he resumes his NBA career, he’s facing a 10-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Despite the signing, there’s no guarantee he even makes the team. No guaranteed roster spot may motivate him to play hard during the summer and preseason.
