Tom Brady Not on Injury Report
Patriots QB Tom Brady is all of a sudden not on the team’s injury report. Yesterday, he was listed as “Full Participation in Practice” despite suffering from sore foot, and shoulder injures. Today, he’s not listed on the report at all, according to the Globe’s Mike Reiss.
Bill Belichick has said he expects Brady to play, and Tom Brady said he hopes to play, but it’s not his choice. Basically, for the full information about the injury or any other injury, you’re not getting it from Patriots players or coaches or staff. Belichick has always believed in utilizing anything it takes to get an edge over your opponent, including fooling with the injury report.
Other players on today’s injury report:
Did Not Participate: WR Sam Aiken (knee), C Dan Connolly (knee), K Stephen Gostkowski (not injury-related), DL Le Kevin Smith (knee), TE Benjamin Watson (knee)
Limited Participation in Practice: None
Full Participation in Practice: G/C Russ Hochstein (groin)

Why the sudden change in the injury report? Brady had a “right shoulder” injury for the last few years. Do you have any idea why Belichick is changing his strategy now?

My best guess is that Belichick is a master of reverse psychology and perhaps to mess with everyone and keep them guessing, he takes Brady OFF the injury list. But with him, who knows!
