Marc Savard: Not on the Trade Block

Forget it: Boston Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli says center Marc Savard is not on the trade market. But that doesn’t mean the Bruins aren’t sniffing for deals.

Chiarelli is always looking for the right trade, so it’s good to have such an active GM.

Good. Why would we trade one of our best players again? Conisder that the Bruins took the No. 1 seeded Montreal Canadiens to 7 games last season, so there’s no reason to trade away Savard unless the Bruins get better now.
