Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has been suspended for one game by the NBA for striking Bucks center Andrew Bogut in Saturday’s win in Milwaukee. Garnett and Bogut got into a scrum late in the fourth and both received technical fouls. Garnett and Bogut were fighting for a rebound when Bogut seemed to come down hard with his arms, striking KG in the face; Garnett then lunged his arm towards the Aussie’s face.
KG will miss the Celtics game against Knicks on Tuesday. Bogut didn’t get off without punishment as his part in the act has been upgraded to a flagerent 1.
My Take: I saw the play live on TV and thought at the time that both players were equally at fault. I think Garnett probably deserved a one game suspension because he did lunge at though it was a punch but Bogut is no where near innocent in the whole thing. His complaining aftering the double technical was idiotic. I just hope Big Baby and Leon are ready to take it to the Knicks in KG’s absence.

Good thing the Knicks only have Zach Randolph. I think Leon can take him!
