Matt Cassel Returns to Practice

Matt Cassel has returned to practice with the New England Patriots today after missing Wednesday’s workouts following his father’s death. Cassel took part in stretches and throwing drills during the portion of practice open to reporters at San Jose State, where the Patriots are training between their west coast road games in Seattle and Oakland.

Although no official announcement was made, this is good news for the Patriots. He has the support of the entire team behind him. Cassel should be good to go for Sunday.

  1. Good to see Cassel back at practice. I’m sorry about his dad, but I couldn’t imagine Kevin O’Connel under center.
