2008 SoB Awards: The Nominees

The end of 2008 is fast approaching, and the Sports of Boston staff has filled out their ballots in the first annual SoB Awards. Voters had three categories to go through:

  • Player of the Year
  • Game of the Year
  • Story of the Year

The staff selected up to five nominees per category, and I have compiled the results to form five final nominees for each category. And the nominees are…

Player of the Year

(Nominees will be placed in alphabetical order)

Game of the Year

Story of the Year

(the top stories of the year in Boston sports)

2008 SoB Award winners will be announced after Christmas and before New Year’s Day 2009:

  • Sunday, December 28, 2008: Player of the Year
  • Monday, December 29, 2008: Game of the Year
  • Tuesday, December 30, 2008: Story of the Year

On Wednesday, December 31, 2008, SoB’s staff will offer their wildest predictions for the 2009 calendar year as we close out 2008 with a bang.
