NFL Flexes Schedule for Week 17

The NFL has flexed its muscle and shifted around the Week 17 schedule. The Denver-San Diego game for the AFC West Title will be played on Sunday Night Football, and rightfully so.

The games of importance to the Patriots were also moved around, so here is the final schedule for Week 17:

1 p.m.	4 p.m.
Patriots @ Bills	Dolphins @ Jets
	Jaguars @ Ravens

So…what happens if the Patriots win? How will they get in the playoffs?

The Patriots win the AFC East and will be the No. 3 seed IF:

• The Patriots win.
• The Dolphins lose to or tie the Jets.

 The Patriots win a Wildcard spot and will be the No. 6 seed IF:

• The Patriots win.
• The Dolphins beat the Jets and win the AFC East.
• The Ravens lose to or tie the Jaguars.

The Jets also can win the AFC East and a No. 3 seed in the playoffs IF:

• The Jets win.
• The Patriots lose to the Bills.

Despite popular belief, the Jets can still get in even if the Patriots beat the Bills. Here’s how.

The Jets win a Wildcard spot and the No. 6 seed IF:

• The Patriots beat the Bills and win the AFC East.
• The Jets beat the Dolphins.
• The Ravens lose to the Jaguars.

There you have it. Even if the Patriots beat the Bills, the Jets will still have everything to play for against the Dolphins. Don’t forget that old friend Chad Pennington and the Dolphins will be coming to town, so that should be enough motivation.

The Dolphins playoff scenario is simple.

The Dolphins can win the AFC East and the No. 3 seed in the playoffs IF:

• The Dolphins beat the Jets.

Well, there you have it. It should be one hell of a Week 17. LETS GO JETS!
