ERIC MANGINI FIRED
Sweet vindication. A day after the Jets slumped to another late season defeat, reports out of New York are that Mangini will be fired today. The Jets were 8-3 at one point this season but slumped to a 1-4 finish, thanks in large part to Brett Favre who threw eight interceptions in the last few weeks. A news conference is to be held in about an hour making the announcement.

Well that was a pleasant morning surprise for me.
Maybe Mangini will show show up on one of those celebrity weight loss ads -I won’t miss the man-boobs! Or his pompous swagger. So, now do we root for the ‘Fins in the playoffs?
