McDaniels Interviews with Browns

Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels interviewed Friday for the Cleveland Browns’ head coaching vacancy, and is scheduled to interview with the Denver Broncos this weekend, according to an NFL source.

McDaniels was the offensive coordinator for the record-setting 2007 Patriots, who scored a league-record 75 touchdowns and 589 points (in 16 games!) while finishing 16-0.

Reaction: McDaniels is just another coach off of the Bill Belichick coaching tree to receive consideration across the league for head coaching vacancies. Some franchises looking for new blood (like the Broncos and Browns) could use a figure like McDaniels (32), who would be younger than some of the players he would coach.
