Super Bowl XLIII Expert Pick ‘Em Results

If it’s any consolation, an AFC team won the Super Bowl, but if you’re like me, you definitely weren’t rooting for the Steelers to win an NFL-record sixth Super Bowl title. Well, they did win the game 27-23 in a wild finish.

That of course means that we have a winner in the Super Bowl Pick ‘Em. Even if he didn’t win by our little scoring system, I probably would’ve annoited Jeff the winner for predicting the exact score of the game. Now, if he went to Vegas with this, he’d be a rich man. Ah well.

Pick ‘Em Rules

Participants will receive one point for each correct answer. For example, if Kurt Warner threw for 800 yards and the Cardinals won 92-30, choosing Kurt Warner as the MVP and the leader in Passing Yards would earn you two points, and choosing the Cardinals to win by more than 6.5 points and to combine with the Steelers to score more than 46.5 points would also earn you two additional points for four total.

In the case of a tie, we would follow this procedure:

  • The person closest to guessing Pittsburgh’s point total without going over wins.
  • If still tied, the person closest to guessing Arizona’s point total without going over wins.
  • If still tied, the person with the closest amount of total points to the game’s final score wins.
  • If still tied, fight to the death.
  • If still tied, coin flip.
