Larry Izzo Linked to BALCO
Patriots veteran Larry Izzo is set to testify that he has met with Greg Anderson, the personal trainer of Barry Bonds. The testimony not only hurts Bonds but links Izzo to steroids again. From the story at Boston.com:
Izzo will testify that he contacted Anderson by phone, then met with the trainer and submitted a number of urine samples in the process of obtaining the performance-enhancing substances, prosecutors stated in a document outlining their witness list for Bonds’s trial.
My Take: While it’s good Izzo is standing up and telling the truth, it’s unfortunate another Patriots player is involved with controversy. We’ll see if there are any ramifications from the NFL on his testimony.
