Gabe Pruitt Arrested for DUI
According to TMZ, Celtics point guard Gabe Pruitt was arrested early this morning for suspicion of DUI. He was pulled over in Hollywood at 3:15 a.m., hours after the Celtics lost to the Clippers. He failed sobriety tests and blew a breathalyzer over the legal limit. He was put in jail and posted bail of $5,000. No comment from the team yet.
My Take: Pruitt did go to school at USC so he knows people in the area, but why exactly was he driving somewhere at 3 a.m. after a game? Idiot mistake by a young kid, a kid who has got some more playing time recently but won’t anymore with Marbury probably on his way in. This isn’t the kind of publicity he needs.
