Schilling Interested In Return with Rays, Cubs

According to Yahoo! Sports, Curt Schilling has no plans to be on a Major League roster for Opening Day, but would be interested in a mid-season return to baseball.

From the Yahoo! report:

Appearing in ESPN The Weekend activities Saturday at Disney World, Schilling told the paper “the challenge would be in a place like Tampa Bay or Chicago,” and he could be lured back for another season. Money is not a major factor, the report stated. Schilling, 42, missed all of the 2008 season with a shoulder injury.

Reaction: Personally, I think Schilling is done. He had major shoulder surgery in his early 40′s. For any pitcher, that’s a career-killer. To top it off, Schilling now blogs for WEEI.com and regularly appears on the radio station. It seems to me he’s moving on, but apparently he’d love to pitch one more season.
