Thomas, Bruins Reach Extension

The Bruins and goaltender Tim Thomas have reportedly reached a contract extension. The team will announce the terms of the deal on Saturday. Thomas was set to become a free agent after the season, and locking him up became a No. 1 priority for the B’s.

Thomas has had a career year this season in going 32-11-7. He leads the NHL in GAA (2.13) and save percentage (93.1).
