Red Sox Ask Kennedy to Throw First Pitch

The Red Sox are reportedly planning to have Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy throw out the ceremonial first pitch for Opening Day Monday afternoon.

Kennedy has been battling brain cancer for almost a year. Given Kennedy’s health issues, it remains uncertain whether or not he will be able to make it.

Reaction: This is a nice gesture by the team, assuming Kennedy can make it.
