Injured Celtics star Kevin Garnett will likely get in just one regular season game before the playoffs, according to Celtics coach Doc Rivers.
KG will likely play against the Wizards in Boston next Wednesday in the final regular season game of the year.
Reaction: Will Garnett be healthy enough for big minutes in the playoffs? We likely won’t know the answer to that question after just one game. Personally, I think the Celtics can get to the Eastern Conference Championship series with Garnett playing just 20 minutes per game, but they cannot beat the Cavs with only half of KG. They need a full effort from Kevin Garnett to beat the Cavs and advance to the NBA Finals.

Having KG back to play in a regular season game and play at game speed is going to be huge for the celtics and for Garnett to be ready for the post season. Like you said, one game is not a good judgement zone, but having one under the belt before the first round is a good start to get the rust out from the time he’s spent out on injury.
