Red Sox Put Lowrie on DL

The Boston Red Sox placed shortstop Jed Lowrie on the 15-day disabled list with a sore left wrist before their game against the Oakland Athletics on Monday night. Lowrie was sent to Boston for tests to determine the extent of the injury.

“We want to be more conclusive with what’s going on,” Red Sox manager Terry Francona said.
