Pierce Named to All-NBA 2nd Team

Celtics captain Paul Pierce was named to the All-NBA second team Wednesday afternoon. Pierce was named to the All-NBA third team in 2002, 2003, and 2008. Kevin Garnett, an All-NBA first team selection last year, finished 17th in balloting.

LeBron James was named to the All-NBA first team on all 122 ballots, joining fellow-forward Dirk Nowitzki (DAL), center Dwight Howard (ORL), and guards Kobe Bryant (LAL) and Dwyane Wade (MIA).

Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo also received votes, but no nomination.
