Eagles Fall to Army, Out of CWS

The Eagles fell to Army by a 4-3 score in a Sunday afternoon contest, hours after losing an NCAA record 25 inning marathon to #1 Texas.  With their second loss in the double elimination regional, the Eagles trip to the College World Series was brief and now over. The game ended with a double play with the sacks full.

Army will face Texas with the winner advancing out of the regional.  Texas already defeated Army in the group, so Army will need to sweep two games, but the Longhorns only need to win one of two.

Overall, it was a very successful season for the Eagles, who broke a 35-year appearance drought in the College World Series and snapped a 42-year streak without a win in the tournament.
