Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference, who was injured during the whole playoffs, underwent surgery Wednesday at Mass. General to repair an abdominal hernia and an abductor release to repair an injured groin.
According to the team, Ference will miss four-six weeks of action. I would think that means 4-6 weeks starting now, but Globe writer Kevin Paul Dupont isn’t so sure. The team could make a clarification in the coming days.
