Dustin Pedroia, Wife Welcome Son: Dylan

Dustin Pedroia will not play in Tuesday night’s game with the Blue Jays to be with his wife, Kelli, after both welcomed their first son to the world. Dylan Pedroia was seven pounds and 20.5 inches at birth. Dustin managed to make it to his wife’s bedside in a Boston hospital before the birth of his son.

You may remember that Pedroia missed the All-Star Game to be with his wife while she had complications with her pregnancy. It appears everything is okay, which is great news!

“It’s good,” Kevin Youkilis said. “I think it’s great for him after everything she’s been through, Dustin’s been through mentally. It’s going to be a great thing for Dustin.”
