Bruins Sign Milan Lucic to Contract Extension

Milan Lucic

The Bruins have signed winger Milan Lucic to a three-year contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2012-2013 season. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not announced.

The 21-year-old Lucic had a career year last season with the Bruins, scoring 17 goals with 25 assists (42 points). His toughness is his best quality, as exemplified by his 136 penalty minutes. Like many teammates, he also had an exceptional plus/minus rating, with a +17.

This season in two games, Lucic has one assist and five penalty minutes as the Bruins have gone 1-1.
