UConn CB Jasper Howard Killed in Stabbing on Campus

UConn defensive back Jasper Howard, 22, has died after an on-campus stabbing early Sunday morning. On Saturday, Howard recovered a fumble in the Huskies 38-25 win over Lousiville.

Howard, a junior and starting cornerback, was stabbed during a fight on campus, according to a school administrative official.

On UConn’s school Web site, they state that the murderer is still on the loose:

In the early morning hours of 10.18.09, a fight and stabbing occurred near Hillside Rd in the center of Storrs campus. The perpetrator is still at large, whereabouts unknown. Police are actively investigating this incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the UConn Police at 860-486-4800.
