Patriots Release Joey Galloway

Joey Galloway

Just hours before the NFL trade deadline, the New England Patriots have decided to cut ties with veteran wide receiver Joey Galloway. Galloway had been inactive for the past three games prior to his release.

With just seven receptions on the season, Galloway never really developed a chemistry with QB Tom Brady. Galloway became notorious in his limited time in New England for dropping passes, thus becoming an easy target for Patriots fans.

The release of Galloway means more of the same that we have seen in the past three weeks, which is more looks for Randy Moss and Wes Welker, as well as additional playing time for WR’s Sam Aiken and Julian Edelman.
