Stop the presses! The Bruins have a two-game winning streak!

Making his third straight start, goaltender Tuukka Rask rose to the occasion again, stopping 25 shots to help the Bruins to a 2-1 overtime win over the Buffalo Sabres. After allowing a goal just over four minutes into the game (Paul Gaustad on the power play), Rask became a stone wall, including some huge saves in the third period to preserve the tie.

Patrice Bergeron scored just 47 seconds into overtime for his first OT goal in over three years, and the Bruins can finally feel good about themselves for at least this weekend.

Milan Lucic scored in his second game back from a fractured finger for the Bruins lone goal in regulation. His second period goal was his first of the season.

With Lucic back, and Marc Savard skating again, it looks like the Bruins may finally getting off this rough stretch. I’d much rather they play this poor hockey in October and November, as opposed to March and April.

The Bruins have the weekend off, as the team next plays on Monday against the Blues, and will be going for their first three-game winning streak of the season.
