Uh-oh, I committed a cardinal sin for any fantasy owner. I missed setting my lineups in one league this week, and as a result, I lost 5-4. Any serious fantasy sports player will tell you that the #1 rule is to never forget to set those lineups. Hey, I’m human baby, I make mistakes. More importantly, you can learn from my mistakes. So it is win-win.
Last Monday, Nelson injured his knee against the Hornets. The injury was more serious than previously thought, as Nelson will miss up to six weeks after knee surgery.
Bibby rolled his ankle badly against New Orleans on Saturday and didn’t return. No word yet on his availability this week. Bibby is averaging only 9.9 points and 4.0 assists this season.
Ginobli has missed two straight games with a strained groin. It looks like he won’t be back until Wednesday at the earliest.
An all around good week for Evans who shot 52.5% with 24.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 2.0 blocks.
Honorable Mention: Jason Kidd, Dallas Mavericks (8.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 12.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and 2.7 3PTM)
No surprise to find Kobe in this section as he put up 29.0 points on 47.9% shooting. Kobe always fills up the stat sheet, and last week he gave owners 6.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and a superb 94.1 FT%.
Honorable Mention: Monta Ellis, Golden State Warriors (25.0 points, 6.7 assists, 4.0 steals, 1.0 blocks)
LeBron single-handedly took me out in one league last week as he shot 58.3% from the field with 34.3 points, 5.8 rebounds 9.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.8 3PTM.
Honorable Mention: Carmelo Anthony, Denver Nuggets (60.0 FG%, 89.3 FT%, 33.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.7 steals.)
What? You gotta be kidding me! After weeks of harassment, Brand finally did some good. We saw the Elton Brand of old last week with 19.7 points (on 52.3% shooting), 10.3 rebounds, 2.7 steals, and 3.7 blocks.
Honorable Mention: Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks (31.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 1.3 blocks)
Big Al has seems to have gotten back into his old groove. He went on a tear with 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks.
Honorable Mention: Brook Lopez, New Jersey Nets (18.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.0 blocks.)
Even before the injury, Bibby was putting up 6.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 31.3% shooting.
Honorable Mention: Andre Miller, Portland Trail Blazers (10.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 76.2 FT%)
Terry scored 17.3 points, but everything else was terrible. He rounded out his states with a 37.5 FG%, 1.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.
Honorable Mention: O.J. Mayo, Memphis Grizzlies (42.9 FG%, 14.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 0.7 3PTM)
Iguodala actually put up good scoring numbers with 17.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists. However, you had to sacrifice two big categories as he shot 34.5% from the field and 64.3% at the line.
Honorable Mention: Paul Milsap, Utah Jazz (11.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.7 steals, 0.3 blocks)
A back injury was partly to blame for Camby’s abysmal week. He shot an unheard of 18.2 FG% with 2.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks. Camby hasn’t reached double-digit points since October 28th.
Honorable Mention: Troy Murphy, Indiana Pacers (9.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 0.0 blocks)
Foul troubles have led to decreased playing which has led to decreased stats. Last week was no exception as we saw uncharacteristic numbers from Howard with 12.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and of course a 48.8 FT%.
Honorable Mention: Chris Kaman, L.A. Clippers (15.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 69.2 FT%)
He has started all but one game this month and has 17+ points in five straight. He fills in the hard-to-get stats with eight steals in his last four games and two blocks in each of his previous three games.
The 3rd overall pick has played 26+ minutes in three straight and last week he averaged 16.5 points with 2.0 steals and 2.8 3PTM.
Morrow has started five of the last six games resulting in a lot more floor time. Last week, he scored 15.0 points while knocking down 2.7 3PTM. He also boasted great percentages with a 57.1 FG% and making all of his free throws.
Ridnour had a season-high 12 assists on Saturday, and he has been getting more playing time, which has returned almost 14.0 points per game. As a point guard, all you want is scoring and assists, and Ridnour has been doing just that lately.
Douglas-Roberts has come alive in the last three games by giving us 27.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.7 steals onĀ 48.4% shooting.
