College Football Top 10: 2009 Week 14

Texas Coach Mack Brown and Alabama Coach Nick Saban bring their 13-0 teams into the National Championship Game as our unanimous pairing.

The regular season is over, except for the notable Army-Navy game. All of the conferences have crowned their winners: Georgia Tech (ACC), Cincinnati (Big East), and Oregon (Pac-10) to name a few. The Sports of Boston pollsters unanimously named the SEC winner, Alabama, and Big 12 winner, Texas, as our BCS National Championship finalists. In an odd season, five teams finished undefeated (TCU, Cincinnati, and Boise State in addition to Alabama and Texas), but only one team finished with one loss, and that was Florida, losing to Alabama last weekend. This week features our first change of #1 teams with Alabama finally topping Florida with their win.

Pollsters are SoB’s Andrew, Erikk, KC, and Mike and comments were gathered with the votes. The ballots are available.

  3. Allow me to say I wa right about ‘Bama being No. 1 by season’s end (though we still have the BCS Title game left…)
