College Hockey Gearing Up for Holiday Tournaments

Brian Roloff helped Vermont escape Dartmouth.

There is no poll this week as there was very limited action on the ice. Vermont beat Dartmouth in the only game featuring a Hockey East team, one of only three overall (and one of those was exhibition). There will not be another poll until the first week of January after teams wrap up their Holiday Tournaments. Here are the upcoming games to look for.

UConn Hockey Classic (December 29-30; Storrs, CT)

UMass vs Union
Bentley vs UConn

Florida College Classic (December 29-30; Estero, FL)

Maine vs Princeton
Colorado College vs Cornell

Denver Cup (January 1-2; Denver, CO)

Boston College vs St. Lawrence
Denver vs Nebraska-Omaha

Badger Showdown (January 2-3; Madison, WI)

Merrimack vs Wisconsin
Ferris State vs Yale

Ledyard Bank Classic (January 2-3; Hanover, NH)

Northeastern vs Dartmouth
UMass-Lowell vs Holy Cross

Catamount Cup (January 2-3; Burlington, VT)

Vermont vs Alabama-Huntsville
Mercyhurst vs Minnesota-Duluth

In other, single game, action, UMass will head to BU and Cornell faces off with New Hampshire. Maine will also host New Brunswick in an exhibition game. New Brunswick is 3-0 against Hockey East this season, beating Massachusetts, Vermont, and Providence in pre-season games.
