CBS’s Charlie Casserly reported during the NFL Today pregame show on Sunday that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has played the several games with three broken ribs. The rib injuries could explain why Brady has looked a bit off at times on his deep throws, some in-cuts, and some other different-type passes.
Either way, Brady was removed in the second quarter in Sunday’s game against the Texans en lieu of Brian Hoyer, who played well as a substitution. Hoyer finished the first half 6/7 passing with 51 yards.
Brady then came out to start the second half, probably to avoid getting rusty. I’m sure we’ll see Hoyer back in the game later on.
