This Sunday, Bruins goalie Tim Thomas will be heading up to Vermont. He’ll be making an appearance on NESN’s Charlie Moore Outdoors, airing at 8:00PM. Thomas and Moore will be on Lake Champlain, where they’ll hope to catch a few bass and pike. In addition, trout and salmon can also be found in the renowned fishing hole’s waters. Lunkers aplenty are in those waters and Thomas is sure to catch many.
I would say Thomas will catch another Vezina trophy, but that would just be a red herring. Thrice he’s been pulled from games this season for not doing his job. Tempers flared while a goal was being scored in the Winter Classic. And then there’s the tough goals. Giving one up to Pittsburgh with less than a second left on November 14, and with six seconds left in the 1st on Saturday to Ottawa. Hopefully the fishing thing will work out for Thomas…just in case he needs a backup career.
