2009-2010 NFL Pro Bowl Picks

The Colts and Saints will meet in the Super Bowl in Miami, but first, we have some Pro Bowl business to attend to. The Pro Bowl will be Round 4 of SoB’s NFL Playoff Pick ‘Em, and the roster moves provide plenty to think of. With Super Bowl players forbidden from playing in the Pro Bowl, plenty of substitutions have been made.

The AFC has seen all three original quarterbacks drop: Peyton Manning is in the Super Bowl, and Philip Rivers and Tom Brady are injured. The NFC has seen three different starting quarterbacks: Drew Brees is in the Super Bowl, and Brett Favre is injured, leaving the job to Aaron Rodgers. All in all, a total of 116 players have been selected to the 2010 Pro Bowl, and 27 of them won’t be playing. That leaves plenty of room open for fresh faces to make an impact on the game and our experts’ picks.

The nine participants, in addition to picking the game winner, how many touchdowns both teams combined in each game would get, and home many yards the games top passer would throw for, also picked the MVP for the game.

  • Correctly picking the winner of a game is worth two points.
  • Picking the number of combined touchdowns to within one is worth one point, or two points if guessed exactly right.
  • Picking the top passer’s passing yard total to within 50 is worth one point, or two points if guessed to within 10.
  • Picking the MVP correctly is worth one point.
  • Any incorrect pick is worth zero points.
