Bruins-Oilers Trade: Marquardt for Wild

The Bruins made another minor deal on Wednesday night, acquiring minor league defenseman Cody Wild for minor league forward Matt Marquardt. The B’s had originally acquired Marquardt from Columbus for Jonathan Sigalet.

A fifth round pick in the 2006 draft, Wild was a three-year star at Providence College. Playing in the ECHL, Wild tallied 14 assists in 37 games for Springfield.

The Bruins also acquired the rights to defensman Stephen Kampfer earlier in the day from the Ducks.

  1. Good thing you referenced Oilers in the title; I nearly though we traded Marquardt for the entire Minnesota Wild Roster!
